Hey I’m Jakob Millard and I thought I would give you a run down/review of my time at Epic Studios at Your Future In Digital.
First I’m going to tell you a bit about myself and do a little bit of ‘Shameless self promotion’, I’m an electronic musician who makes music for a genre called ‘Witch House’ my music project name is Project Narcissus and I’m releasing an EP called ‘Coma Industries’ on my friends net label.
These two days at EPIC have been really useful, I have got contact details from several people and most relevant to me is CeeJay who has given me great advice on how to my music out there. I have spoken to loads of people here and each has been inspiring and I have signed up to do volunteer work here at EPIC and am hoping to do a radio show for SNYA.
The highlight of my time here was working on SNYA and managed to play one of my own tracks which was really cool and although I’ve done radio before it was closer to podcast so doing live radio is completely different experience.
What these two days have really shown me is that you can do stuff on your own without having to have the best grades there are and the top degree (but not in any way telling me not to try!) in the end it’s giving me the confidence to get my self out there and if I don’t end up with the BEST grades there are it doesn’t disadvantage me.
Plus, I’ve met some really awesome people!
